StudyLog - Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the StudyLog mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

2. Intended Use & License

StudyLog is an academic planner, focus timer, and productivity tool. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on your mobile device.

3. Academic Disclaimer & No Warranties

StudyLog is a productivity aid. While we strive to ensure the App is stable and accurate:

Notifications & Alarms: Reminders rely on Android system scheduling. Device battery savers, task managers, reboots, or system constraints may delay or block reminders.
Timers & Screen Time: Timer tracking and screen usage calculations are approximate and provided for self-improvement purposes only.
No Warranty: THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.

4. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPERS OF STUDYLOG BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

Academic failure, failing or missing exams, class absences, or loss of academic standing.
Loss of study data, notes, or grade records.
Damages resulting from delayed, failed, or inaccurate notifications, reminders, or timer fails.

YOU EXPRESSLY AGREE THAT YOUR USE OF THE APP IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK, AND IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO DOUBLE-CHECK ALL CRITICAL CLASS TIMES, EXAM DATES, AND TASK DEADLINES INDEPENDENTLY.

5. Data Storage & Sync

If you enable Cloud Sync, your study data is stored securely using Firebase. Local data is stored on your device. You are responsible for maintaining backups of your critical academic data. We are not liable for data loss.

6. Amendments

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the App following any changes indicates your acceptance of the updated Terms.
